This version features very different lyrics and an overall different structure to that heard by live audiences. __________________________________ lyrics: My love, my love, she came to me / Said "open up your heart, love, so I can see" / Oh, my boy, my boy, where have you been? / I had my eyes closed I could not have seen / / And my heart, my heart, began to bleed / Out from the bridge and now to the street / Oh, my love, my love, where did you go? / Ask somebody else 'cause I just don't know / / Oh, my love, my love, she took my hand / Lead me to a bride and said "please understand" / That my boy, my boy, I let you go / Over to the river where the waters flow / / And my love, my love, what have you see

artwork token from the music video & edited  The third track of Coldplay’s 2017 EP Kaleidoscope, “A L I E N S” is a song about refugees fleeing their home from a war-torn planet and trying to seek refuge somewhere else. The proceeds of this song go to the Migrant Offshore Aid Station, to help save migrants on the Mediterranean Sea. ________________________________________________ Not For Production, For Listening Purposes Only Copyright: © 2017 Parlophone Records Limited A Warner Music Group Company. Everyday Life (Instrumentals)

Image
artwork edited If the kaleidoscopic joy of 2015’s A Head Full of Dreams feels like a distant memory now, that’s natural—it was a different time. In the four years since we last heard from Coldplay, the world has grown more chaotic. “Not that there hasn’t always been craziness,” frontman Chris Martin tells Apple Music, “but it’s so in-your-face all the time. It can only make you feel like—it doesn’t matter the consequence, you have to sing what’s coming through.” In response comes Everyday Life, a double album that finds arguably this century’s biggest and most agreeable rock band attempting to inspire unity, at considerable cost and risk. “It’s very true to us,” Martin says. “That’s all I know.” They’ve organised the album conceptually. The first half, Sunrise, opens with strings both sombre and hopeful. “It’s the challenges we see happening in our lives and in lots of other people’s lives,” Martin explains. The second, Sunset, is “a bit more, ‘How might you meet those challenges? How

Famous Old Painters (Previously Unreleased) [Everyday Life Recording Sessions] - Single

Image
artwork edited by me The song “Famous Old Painters” is indeed associated with Coldplay’s creative process during their “Everyday Life” recording sessions. It’s a track that has piqued the interest of fans due to its unreleased status. The song was worked on during the sessions for the album “Viva La Vida” and was mentioned on Coldplay’s website back in 2008, but it was ultimately not included in the final album. The lyrics of “Famous Old Painters” reflect themes of legacy, identity, and aspiration, with the chorus highlighting a desire to be remembered and to achieve greatness like the famous painters of history2. It’s a piece that resonates with the band’s broader artistic explorations and their penchant for introspective songwriting. While the song itself remains officially unreleased, the fascination around it continues to inspire creativity among Coldplay’s listeners. 🎶 ___________________________________________________ Not For Production, For Listening Purposes Only Copyright:

Weirdo (Previously Unreleased) - Single

Image
artwork by me and AI :) The song “Weirdo” by Coldplay is part of their collection of unreleased tracks. It’s confirmed to be a real song by the band but remains unleaked and unavailable for public listening. The song was written around the 2009-2010 period, during the “Viva La Vida” era, and is believed to have been considered for an unreleased album referred to as the “wedding album” from that time. However, there’s a mention that a recording of “Weirdo” from 2019 exists, suggesting that the song may have been reworked. While “Weirdo” has not been officially released, it’s part of the band’s rich history of songwriting and experimentation, and the intrigue surrounding these unreleased tracks adds to the mystique of Coldplay’s musical journey. Fans continue to discuss and speculate about these songs, hoping they might one day be officially shared by the band. 🎶  ___________________________________________________ Not For Production, For Listening Purposes Only Copyright: © 2019 Parl

Big Fat Noises - Vitamins (Previously Unreleased) - Single

Image
artwork edited by me. The year was 1997, and the band was already forming as we know it, with Chris at the helm, Jonny and Guy (in addition to Phil, the now fifth member). Back then, still in college, they were called 'Big Fat Noises'. Under that name, they released their first work: 'Panic EP' (that's where 'Vitamins' comes from, of which you can hear a little bit in the documentary AHFOD). They liked to make music, but they began to see that their songs were very acoustic and simple; They were missing a drummer. That's when they got Will, who knew almost nothing about drums and learned to play that instrument on the fly. He was the last to join the band, hence the color photo of him in the illustration we see here, as opposed to the other black and white ones. And, well, the rest is history... Vitamins was intended for the 1998 Safety E.P. but was later scrapped. Performed in 1998 under the name "Starfish".The band actually digitalized Vitami

Music of the Spheres (Instrumentals) [Official audio]

Image
album cover by me  You don’t become one of the biggest bands in the world without sticking to a system. In Coldplay’s case, that means starting every album with an agreed-upon title that dictates the project’s direction, from songwriting to production style to visuals. “It allows us a little bit of discipline in the studio knowing what we're trying to build,” bassist Guy Berryman tells Apple Music. “If you're building a building without any kind of architect's drawings, you would just start piling bricks on top of each other.” This preparation particularly came in handy in the case of a paralysing global pandemic. Since 2019's Everyday Life was always intended to be stripped-down and introspective, without the customary world tour, the band already had a trove of songs earmarked for a proper larger-than-life affair and a vision for their use. They knew it would be called Music of the Spheres and they knew it would be helmed by Swedish über-producer Max Martin (no rela

unknwon artwork artist Around early 2011, a studio recording of “Famous Old Painters” was leaked onto the internet, alongside other unreleased material from the Viva La Vida sessions. The title was seen on Coldplay’s website in 2008, when the band blogged the album process under the pseudonym “Prospekt”, but the song ended up being left in the studio. ___________________________________________ For Promotional Use Only Copyright: ℗ © 2007/2008 Parlophone Records Limited A Warner Music Group Company. Spies (Recording Session) - Single

Image
unknow artwork artist "Spies" was written in 1999 by all Coldplay members, inspired by British composer and conductor John Barry and by the making of a new James Bond film at the time, The World Is Not Enough. The backing track of the song was recorded at Rockfield Studios in Wales, taking three days for Coldplay and producer Ken Nelson to get a take they were all satisfied with. Most of the songs for Parachutes were being recorded as live as possible; for "Spies", however, the band were split into separate individual rooms, with Chris Martin recording from "a little cubby hole" type of room, Will Champion in another different room, and Guy Berryman "playing in the control room." In an interview with Sound on Sound, Ken Nelson recalled the song's recording sessions, "It just took a long time to get a really good take of it. You get to a point where each take they do will be quite good, and you know you're close to it, and you've

Tomorrow (Previously Unreleased) - Single

cover by: WhorthyColdplay "Tomorrow" Registered on the ASCAP website. A song with the same name was initially included in a provisional track listing for Ghost Stories. the band sampled this song on the upcoming release, we can hear some similarity in the begening of the song "Fun" with low tempo and diffirent guitar riff.  Lyrics: Maybe I can let go Maybe I'm just chasing in the shadow Lately it seems it's though A stone came crashing through my window Leaving me a ghost Still you nod to me Is upon me and saw a ghost You go through, me Even if it and falls your way Still I know we gonna get there someday Maybe Tomorrow So there we go We hurt each other in the ways we know Another violent bows A killer a way out from the shadows Shadow and a ghost Where we're gonna run to God only knows Take your arrow     And then shoot, me Even if it and falls away Still I know we gonna get there someday Even if it and falls today Still I know we gonna get there someda

Spanish Rain (Don Quixote) [Previously Unreleased/Studio Version] - Single

Image
cover by Mark D'Angelo  Don Quixote aka Spanish Rain, is a song that was debuted live at River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires on 26th February 2010.  Fans have been deciphering the lyrics to the song, working out the tabs and... even wondering whether it is a song we already knew the title to, courtesy of The Bakery whiteboard which featured in Melvyn Bragg's Coldplay documentary on the South Bank show back in September 2009. So what do we know about Don Quixote so far, following its Argentinian debut? Below is a run down of the information we have, as well as early comments from Coldplayers around the world... Don Quixote was introduced by Chris Martin as a song written especially for the Latin America tour 2010. On the C-stage in Buenos Aires, Chris Martin said, "We had such a great time in Argentina, Mexico and Brazil (2007), it would be good for us (Coldplay) if we had a special song that celebrated how much we think of the Latin American audiences. We decided to write

Wedding Bells (Previously Unreleased) - Single

Image
edited artwork The song "Wedding Bells" by Coldplay is an unreleased track that was presumed to be included in their project known as "The Wedding Album." This album was intended to follow their fourth studio album, "Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends," and was planned for release in December 2009/2010 but was eventually scrapped due to creative conflicts².  The concept for "The Wedding Album" was later repurposed for Coldplay's eighth studio album, "Everyday Life," which was released on 22 November 2019. The album took an acoustic, organic, and experimental alternative rock direction¹. It's interesting to note that the acoustic intro featured on "Arabesque" from "Everyday Life" (from 0:13 to 0:28) is from the original recording sessions of "The Wedding Album"². Perhaps the one of the saddest songs in the Coldplay set, this unreleased song is sung from the perspective a man watching his one

A Head Full of Dreams (Instramentals)

Image
There’s a blissful lack of restraint to the multi-layered neon pop of Coldplay’s seventh album. The carnival kicks off within 20 seconds of the opening track and allows only the most fleeting of (Barack Obama-narrated) sit-downs as the extent of their ambition is joyously unfurled. It’s the sound of a band liberated: free to recruit Beyoncé for vocal duties on the euphoric “Hymn for the Weekend,” trade sweet nothings with Tove Lo for “Fun”’s hazy holiday romance jam, and talk Noel Gallagher into a (What’s The Story) Morning Glory?-sized guitar solo on the hymnal “Up&Up.” ___________________________ Copyright: ℗ 2015 Parlophone Records Limited, a Warner Music Group Company. Arabesque (Unreleased Demos) - Single

Image
The co-lead single “Arabesque” (which is the lead single for the Sunrise part of the album) is Coldplay’s way of trying to sew peace in the wake of the western fear of Islam with the war on terrorism going on. Instrumentally, the song merges western musical styles with Middle Eastern rhythms (like with the guitar & saxophone) placing the idea that “music unites us all”. Arabesque is a visual art genre, which was mostly used in Islamic countries. For example, in architecture, it’s an ornamental design consisting of intertwined flowing lines, originally found in ancient Islamic art. While in dance and ballet, it is a dancing posture. The name of the songs is very apropos to the whole theme of the album being Arabic and bringing the culture to western media. The meaning of the track is also parallel and similar to the song “بنی آدم (Son of Adam)” by the Persian poet, Sadi. During the BBC Radio 1 premiere interview with Annie Mac, Chris stated that he got to put three generations of a
