Around early 2011, a studio recording of “Famous Old Painters” was leaked onto the internet, alongside other unreleased material from the Viva La Vida sessions. The title was seen on Coldplay’s website in 2008, when the band blogged the album process under the pseudonym “Prospekt”, but the song ended up being left in the studio.
